This project holds a special place in the heart of dlb design for several reasons. Most notably, it’s the home of the First Family of dlb: the Brinkmans. This undertaking was an extensive remodel of Derrick Brinkman's cherished childhood country home. When we describe this project as a "full remodel," we truly mean it was a complete transformation. We took the house down to the studs and revamped everything from the ground up. New plumbing, new electrical systems, added square footage, and a total overhaul of the architectural style - it was a comprehensive renovation.

How do we help clients who already possess an amazing sense of style? Just like this! We took a charming ‘90s dairy home, rich with history and countless cherished memories, and transformed it into a contemporary yet nostalgic space where the next generation can continue to create and cherish their own memories. This home is truly a treasure, and we are deeply honored that the owners entrusted us with such a significant project.

When we first saw this space, the extensive grout joints, likely holding a world record, had us itching to move past the demolition stage and onto the creative process. The client wanted a dream space for their collection that was as classic yet over-the-top as the cars themselves. Oh yeah, we do venues too. What was once the Sons of Italy location is now a stunning indoor and outdoor venue that draws some pretty incredible crowds. The existing park area was re-imagined and meticulously planned to host a variety of events, from weddings to Taco Tuesdays. This transformation has turned an ordinary space into an extraordinary venue that celebrates the essence of Visalia and its vibrant community.
